Trolls have cruelly taunted Daniel Andrews and his daughter after the Victorian Premier announced she was embarking on the trip of a lifetime.
Mr Andrews, who was re-elected as premier following last month’s state election, posted a sweet image of his daughter Grace Andrews at Melbourne airport on his Facebook page on Monday.
‘Finished Year 12 and off on her next big adventure,’ he wrote. ‘Miss you already Gracie.’
But the post was hijacked by the premier’s detractors and trolls who targeted Mr Andrews and his daughter.
‘I’d move away too if you were my dad,’ said one.
Another wrote: ‘Even ya (sic) daughter can’t wait to get away from you and this state.’
‘Smart girl…getting as far away from you as possible,’ added a third.
‘She’s getting out of the state before her father locks us down again,’ joked one user.

One critic implored the premier to leave with his daughter, writing: ‘Why don’t you go with her, Dan! And don’t come back!’
‘Hope she had 57 boosters to keep her safe,’ another joked.
While there were harsh jokes at the premier’s expense, many of Mr Andrews’ supporters kindly wished his daughter a safe trip.
Mr Andrews’ Labor government won a third term in office after comprehensively beating the Liberal party in November’s state election.
The premier secured 53 electorates in the 88-seat lower house compared to the LNP Coalition, which gained 27 seats.
Labor’s primary vote plunged to 37 per cent, but much of the Liberal gain was made in safe ALP seats which the government still hung on to win.
Matthew Guy announced he would be stepping down as leader of the Victorian Liberals after leading his party through two consecutive election losses
Daniel Andrews’ win will make him Victoria’s second longest-serving premier and the longest serving Labor premier.
Victorian Liberal leader Matthew Guy announced his resignation after leading his party through two consecutive election losses.
He previously resigned as opposition leader after the coalition suffered an election thumping in 2018 before returning to the post in September 2021 and losing again in 2022.
The win gives Labor another four years in office after holding power in the state for 19 of the last 23 years.
It will make Dan Andrews the state’s second longest-serving premier and the longest-serving Labor premier.
