Beachgoers were left horrified on Friday after a body washed up near a popular swimming spot beside a busy ferry terminal.
The body was pulled from the water near Little Manly Beach on Sydney‘s northern beaches at around 3pm on Friday.
It has yet to be identified and the circumstances around the death are now being investigated by police.

NSW Police said they were called to the popular northern beaches swimming spot on Friday.
‘Officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command were called to Little Manly Beach after reports a body was seen in the water,’ NSW Police said.
‘A police operation is now underway to recover the body; the person is yet to be formally identified.’
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
