DHHS reports 14 new COVID-19-related deaths over past week
New Hampshire health officials reported 14 new deaths related to COVID-19 over the past week.
The number of people who have died from COVID-19-related causes decreased this past week for the first time since Jan. 5. There were 22 deaths reported from Jan. 5 to Jan. 11 and 23 deaths reported between Jan. 12 and Jan. 18.
There have now been 2,932 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in the state since the start of the pandemic.
The Department of Health and Human Services reported 1,187 active cases in the state, down from 1,488 active cases reported last Thursday in its weekly report. There were 931 new cases reported over the past week, down from 1,203 cases reported over the week before.
On Thursday, there were 81 people in hospitals who tested positive for COVID-19, according to the New Hampshire Hospital Association, which is down from 97 Wednesday. Of those 81 people, 23 are receiving specific treatment for the virus, down from 32 on Wednesday.
