COLUMBIA – Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) will host a COVID-19 booster and flu vaccine clinic on Tuesday, Jan. 17 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Columbia Public Library.
All members of the public are welcome to attend with or without an appointment.
COVID vaccines through PHHS do not require an ID or health insurance and are free.
Updated/bivalent Pfizer booster doses will be available for individuals five years old and up. Updated/bivalent Moderna booster doses will be available for those 12 and older.
The updated booster is recommended at least two months following a series of vaccinations or after a previous booster shot.
The updated boosters are called “bivalent” because they protect against the original COVID-19 virus and the Omicron variant BA.4 and BA.5.
The Columbia Public Library is located at 100 W. Broadway.
