A brave mother has been forced to perform CPR on her six-month-year-old baby in a desperate bid to save her life after she stopped breathing.
Kim Bell managed to resuscitate her daughter, Willow, after she went into cardiac arrest at their Geelong home, in Melbourne‘s south west, last Wednesday.
Willow, who was born with Epstein’s anomaly – a rare heart defect, was taken to Geelong Hospital.
She was then rushed to The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, where she is on full life support.

A GoFundMe campaign has since been launched by Kim’s friends Hayley Barclay and Amy Bannerman to support the young mother, her husband Micky and baby Willow.
Kim conceived her ‘miracle baby’ through IVF last year.
She was born six weeks premature and diagnosed with a heart defect six months into the pregnancy.
Ms Bannerman explained in the GoFundMe that Willow ‘has had ongoing issues with her health since she was born’.
The money raised from the campaign will go towards ensuring ‘Micky is able to stay with his family and support them throughout their stay in the hospital’.
It will also help the family with food and petrol as they make constant drives between the hospital in Melbourne to check on Willow and their home in Geelong.
When Willow suffered cardiac arrest, Ms Bannerman wrote that ‘super mum Kim immediately commenced resuscitating her and was able to revive her’.
‘However she is now in PICU at the Royal Children’s Hospital – fighting for her life on full support.’

Kim is a clinical nurse specialist at Barwon Health. She worked relentlessly throughout the pandemic on the Covid-19 ward.
Ms Bannerman said: ‘She has given so much to the community and now as a community it’s our turn to give her and her family as much support as we can.’
