It’s been another huge year for music, capped off with LadBaby’s historic fifth Christmas number one in a row, beating the Beatles’ 50-year record.
Beyoncé released one of the most popular albums of the year, Renaissance, which reached more than 179 million streams in its first week, while Harry Styles‘ number one album Harry’s House proved the UK’s favourite of 2022.
Taylor Swift also made chart-topping history, claiming the entire Top 10 in the US Billboard Hot 100 with songs from her Midnights album in October.
The year was also a surprise success for classic hits, with Kate Bush grabbing her first number one single in 44 years as Running Up That Hill reached the top of the charts.
