A stunned motorist in a parked car has captured the bizarre moment a vehicle sped off with a man clinging to the roof for dear life.

The astonishing incident in Treendale, 160km south of Perth near Bunbury shows a dark sedan pull up to a roundabout with a man sliding from the roof to the passenger side door as he’s dragged by the vehicle for several metres.

The man in a singlet and jeans chased after the car for several metres before latching onto the door as the driver rapidly accelerates.

Startled witnesses on the busy street in the middle of the day, watch on as he’s dragged around the corner out of camera view still holding on.

‘What the hell?’ the man who filmed the chaos shouts.

The footage has since gone viral online.

Some viewers recalled seeing similar bizarre incidents in the Bunbury area and were ‘not surprised’ by the footage.
