U.S. stocks fell Monday as investors worried about a rise in Covid-19 infections overseas and the state of the economy at home heading into the key holiday season.

Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 45.41 points, or 0.1%, to 33700.28, while the S&P 500 dropped 15.40 points, or 0.4%, to 3949.94. The Nasdaq Composite lost 121.55 points, or 1.1%, to 11024.51.
