Cortland County COVID-19 Wrap-Up for Saturday, Dec. 3 – Cortland Voice

Here is a breakdown of recent COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.
The county health department reported recently that the level of COVID-19 transmission in the county is low. Since last Saturday, there have been 33 positive cases, eight individuals hospitalized, but no new deaths.
As of Dec. 1, there have been 12,876 total positive cases, 827 hospitalizations and 131 deaths in the county. According to the state, the current daily average of positive tests among county residents is 4.2%. The weekly average of cases per 100K is 10.5.
The recent percentage of county residents fully vaccinated that are 5 years-or-older is 61%. Additional numbers show that 60.3% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
